The Complete Maus by Art Spielgelman
Art Spiegleman's Maus is one of the most famous graphic novels. It is both the story of his father's experience during the Holocaust and the parallel story of Art's present day reactions as his father retells his story. This graphic novel has been translated into about 30 languages.

The Complete Maus was actually my first graphic novel and I loved being able to analyse all the elements such as the panels and shading that wasn't typical of a novel.These elements give you so much more to work with, which makes it easier for you to do even better in your essays!
