A-Z Short Stories
Neil Gaiman

"Short stories are tiny windows into other worlds and other minds and other dreams. They are journeys you can make to the far side of the universe and still be back in time for dinner."    [Neil Gaiman]

This site features 52 authors and 91 short stories, covering both classic and contemporary stories, which are suitable for Years 7 -12. Most come with the appropriate level of contextual information, reviews, analysis and literary commentary. Wherever possible an audio file, videos and a LitChart summary have been included.

They are available to teachers and students at St Stephen's School for classroom instruction and online learning, as well as independent recreational reading.

Use either the Author Index (available from the tabs - left); the Title Index or the Year Level Index to find a storyThe designated year level is based on the readability of the story. In some cases a second entry appears when relevant to a particular English or Literature unit of study.

All titles are in alphabetical order by the first word of the title, excluding “A”, “An” and “The.”
