Ode to a Nightingale by John Keats (1819)
Keats's friend Charles Brown said that he wrote this poem in just a few hours on scraps of paper, after spotting a nightingale near Brown's house. Keats is generally considered a key member of the Romantic poets, in particular of the second generation which included writers like Lord Byron and Percy Bysshe Shelley.
