Author: Andy Mulligan (1966-)
Andy Mulligan was brought up in the south of London and educated at Oxford University. He worked as a theatre director for ten years before travels in Asia prompted him to retrain as a teacher. He has taught English and Drama in India, Brazil, Vietnam, the Philippines and the UK, where he has proved inspirational to many students. He now divides his time between London and Manila and is writing full-time.

The Bridge Home by
When runaway sisters, Viji and developmentally disabled Rukku arrive on Chennai's harsh, teeming streets, they quickly, discover its uncaring, dangerous world. Luckily they find shelter and friendship on an abandoned bridge, with two homeless boys, Muthi and Arul. The foursome become a family of sorts, scavenging the city's trash heaps.
