Return to Work Program

At St Stephen’s School we recognise that sometimes we all find ourselves in a situation where we may need support following an injury or illness.

The School is obligated to have a workplace injury return to work program but has extended this to ensure a safe and supportive return to work for NON WORK RELATED injury and illness.

To support staff, the School has dedicated and trained staff in our People and Culture Team to coordinate a successful and supportive return to work by coordinating with you, your supervisor and any medical professionals who may be involved in your recovery.

We consider all the factors in employee wellness, including research that says returning to work after illness and injury is actually good for you! We want to make sure that every consideration and accommodation has been discussed to ensure a successful and safe return.

We also have partnerships with a number of health and wellbeing providers who can support you also, in most cases at no cost to the employee.

The best way to take advantage of this support is to let us know early, so we can start coordinating the support before you return to work.

The process is confidential and information will only be shared with the people you give consent for. Our Wellness Team oversees the program and can provide you with more information.
